About Nancy
Nancy Siegel has been working with children in many different capacities over the past 20+ years.  She began her career teaching in the pre-schools of Manhattan Day School and Magen David.  Over the past 10 years she has been working with children in innovative ways creating and implementing programming that is educationally based and yoga inspired.

In 2003 Nancy opened the doors of Nesheemah Yoga Center with the intention of offering a place for people of all ages to enjoy the practice of yoga among other things.  It was at Nesheemah that Nancy’s love of children and yoga helped her co-develop the very successful Caddy Camp program held at Nesheemah.  Caddy stands for Circus, Art, Drama and Yoga and is a creative arts camp infused with educational philosophy and yoga principles. .

Her primary goal in working with children (and their grown ups) is to help them learn how to be in touch with their inner worlds, helping them find their inner voice and strengths.

For the past 5 years, Nancy's teachers’ workshops, with an emphasis on self-refection, have been empowering teachers with new ways to reignite the joy of learning in themselves and in their students.

Nancy has a BA in Early Childhood Education from Chatham College, in Pgh, Pa, and post graduate work in Moral Development from Harvard University and Developmental Psychology from Teachers’ College. Nancy received her certification with YogaKids (Level 1) and Radiant Child Yoga Teacher Training programs and has been practicing yoga for 12 years.

Nancy is currently writing a book, for teachers and parents, about her work on self-reflection.
